Great Parenting Academy
Great Parenting Academy was conceived of by Terri Khonsari, the author of Raising A Superstar, a best-selling book on strategies to bring out the brilliance within every child. Terri immigrated to 3 different countries while raising her daughter alone, conquering language; cultural and financial challenges so that most people would have given up. Yet, Terri earned a Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology and worked in corporate management. She also worked and as a coach, consultant, trainer and a speaker in different organizations. Terri speaks three languages and has traveled to thirty countries in the world. During her thriving journey, Terri discovered how to foster tenacity, passion, excellence and responsibility in her daughter.
Today, Terri’s daughter is a graduate of Georgetown Law School with a focus on international law on human rights. She is starting her career with a prestigious “Fulbright Fellowship” in West Africa to work on International Business and Labor Issues. Her academic career includes many awards, notable positions, and work experience. While she attended Georgetown, she founded Worker’s Solidarity Group, was the President of Human Rights Action Group, and was the Vice President of Amnesty International on campus. She has traveled to over fifty countries in the world, speaks five languages fluently, runs marathons, and participates in triathlons in her spare time. She has also worked with the U.S. Department of State and with the Peace Corps. She dances to balance her life. Clearly, this young woman is a shining example of successful parenting.
Terri believes if she could raise a superstar with all the challenges she had, everyone can. She saw the need for a central place for parents to go and discover how to be great parents. Today, Terri is a big supporter of the National Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and has been featured in the media for her expertise in great parenting as well as for being a productivity expert in business and in life.
